Hello Eric, Donna, Hannah and Ben!

I’m excited to create a new collection of portraits for you to celebrate Ben’s graduation! Below I am going to list some locations along with samples that I think might work nicely for you. We don’t need to decide on a location right now, but we do need to set a date as the Spring is sneaking up fast on us! Let’s get that nailed down and then we can figure out what look will suit you best this time around! FYI because there are a lot of images here on this one page it might be slow loading all of the thumbnails, I apologize if it lags a bit!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Gretchen

Mare Island (Vallejo)

This is a great spot for an urban look that also offers options for greenery. I love it for it’s brick walls, painted doors and ivy but also because we can get a lot of variety and looks within one location. And it’s dog-friendly so we can easily include Millie! Here are some samples from a session that is similar to your family…son was a senior, daughter had graduated a few years prior, and they included their dog…

Here are a few more images from another session at the same location just to show you more scenes and looks…

Martinez (downtown and marina)

Martinez is another great place to get an urban feel combined with natural elements as well. The downside to Martinez is that most of the areas where we would want to shoot down in the marina area do not allow dogs, so that would leave Millie out :( Also, the urban areas tend to be a bit tighter so it’s better suited for 1-2 people vs an entire family. If the session is just for Ben, this is a great option. But for including Millie and the family, if you like the urban look, I would rather steer you towards Mare Island. But here’s some senior images from Martinez for you to check out…

St. Mary’s College (Moraga)

I love St. Mary’s for portrait sessions! You get beautiful architecture as well as lush surroundings. It really lends itself to a nice, polished look. And dogs are welcome here. Here’s a senior session that included family and two dogs…

Shopping Center (Walnut Creek)

And here’s a spot that you wouldn’t normally think of…it’s just a shopping center over in Walnut Creek but I have found some great little tucked away nooks there that work great! Here’s a family session I did this past fall, so the plants look a bit different now but still a lot of great nooks and crannies to work with…
