ONE SESSION—MANY LOOKS

Sometimes I think it’s helpful to see a session in it’s entirety. Not just a few impactful images, but rather all of the many combos and looks we can achieve in the course of our time together. Below is a great example of what a high school senior portrait session can look like. In this case, we included the family. Senior sessions are a GREAT time to capture a family portrait! As a child is making that shift from child to young adult and preparing to possibly leave the nest and start their next chapter away from home, its a perfect time to capture the family as it was as that kid of yours was growing up!

A senior session is also a fantastic opportunity to include personal items (or pets!) that matter the most to your senior. For this session, we incorporated not only this senior’s family, her horses and dog, but also her beloved truck. In the end, everything about this album reflects what this young lady holds dear (she barrel races these horses and goes straight to the barn every day after school to work with them).

This session took place at two locations— a local vineyard (that happens to have fantastic vintage trucks) and the barn where the horses are kept. The scenes at each location were carefully selected to harmonize with her outfits and to make the best use of the sunlight. Since I envisioned the images with her horses being at sunset, we tackled the family poses and different combos first at the vineyard and then her mom and sister headed back to their home while the senior and her dad headed over to the stables with us to capture the second half of our session.

Of course, every session is as individual as your child, so each and every one is custom designed to reflect THEM and their style and interests. This is just one example to get your ideas flowing about what the possibilities can be! Let’s chat about how we can design a very special and memorable set of images for your senior!
